Who We Are

Pioneer Custom Electrical Products (Pioneer CEP) is an Electrical Switchgear Manufacturer and Electrical Systems Integrator. We team up with major manufacturers to provide a full range of electrical products and services, such as Integrated Power Centers / Electrical Equipment Enclosures, Metal-Clad and Metal-Enclosed Switchgears, 600V-38,000V, Low Voltage Switchgears, Switchboards, Panelboards, and Split Bus Panelboards. Integrated Power Centers 

Pioneer CEP’s premier product is the Integrated Power Center (IPC), a fully customized electrical enclosure Integrated with Pioneer CEP electrical equipment and customer supplied furnishings. Our IPC is built with the highest quality and precision. The standard IPC is fully insulated made of 12 gauge of galvaneal steel. We express our integrity through our manufacturing style.  All of our manufacturing processes are executed meticulously, guaranteed by our certified Quality Control Technicians.

Power Distribution Solutions

At Pioneer CEP, we have the ability to custom build our switchgear from the ground up. We can custom design our equipment from single line diagrams, specifications or other information gathered from our customers. We are focused on project requirements and working closely with our clients. Because of our flexibility in design and switchgear manufacturing, we have the ability to source and install different brands of protective devices and control components at a competitive price.

Critical Power Solutions

Pioneer CEP has provided critical power solutions in Mining, Healthcare, Government, Combined Heat and Power, Co- Generation, Petrochemical and Commercial projects. Our equipment is designed and assembled at our facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA. using high quality components from reputable manufacturers including Woodward, Deep Sea, Horner, ABB and Square D.

Pioneer Custom Electrical Products has accumulated extensive experience in supplying Integrated Power Systems to different utility companies. Our building is qualified to acquire a Gold Seal Insignia issued by the State of Washington, California Modular Housing Insignia and Arizona Department of Housing Certificate Insignia. Our primary switchgear installations in California, Arizona, and Nevada produced a reliable link in the power distribution chain.

• Pioneer CEP’s 5kV and 38kV rated Metal Enclosed switchgear is comprised of free standing, vertical, dead front steel structures using components from Square D, Eaton, ABB or Powercon Switches, a main bus system, and auxiliary compartments. Our OEM structure is bolted construction and fabricated with A60 galvaneal steel, with corrosion resistant properties and painted ANSI 61 Gray finish. Custom coating is available. • Pioneer CEP offers indoor and outdoor (Non Walk in or Walk In Aisle) enclosures with a current rating of 600A to 3000A. • MV UL Listed (Except 27KV and 38KV Metal Enclosed Switchgear)

Medium Voltage Metal Clad Switchgear

• Pioneer CEP’s 5kV and 15kV rated Metal Clad switchgear is comprised of free standing, vertical, dead front steel structures and compartmentalized using components from Eaton, Siemens or Powell vacuum circuit breaker compartments and draw out circuit breakers, a main bus system, and auxiliary compartments. The assembly can include instrument transformers, relay protection, control devices, and connection provisions for primary, ground, and control circuits.  Our OEM structure is bolted construction and fabricated with A60 galvaneal steel, with corrosion resistant properties and painted ANSI 61 Gray finish. Custom coating is available. • Pioneer CEP offers indoor and outdoor (Non Walk in or Walk In Aisle) enclosures with a current rating of 1200A to 3000A. • MV UL Listed. (Except 27KV and 38KV Metal Enclosed Switchgear)   

25KV / 38 KV Medium Voltage Metal Clad Switchgear

• Pioneer CEP’s 25kV and 38kV rated Metal Clad switchgear design is free standing, vertical, dead front steel structures using components from Eaton or Powell vacuum circuit breaker compartments and draw out circuit breakers, main bus system, and auxiliary compartments. The assembly can include instrument transformers, relay protection , control devices, and connection provisions for primary, ground, and control circuits.  Our OEM structure is bolted construction and fabricated with A60 galvaneal steel, with corrosion resistant properties and painted ANSI 61 Gray finish. Custom coating is available. • We offer indoor and outdoor (Non Walk in or Walk In Aisle) enclosures with a current rating of 1200A to 3000A.

We specialize in both standard and custom switchgear applications with NEMA 1 indoor or NEMA 3R outdoor enclosures. We ensure flexibility and efficiency to our customers through our advanced integration capabilities that enable us to integrate component options from any of the leading manufacturers.

Low Voltage Switchgear

• Low Voltage switchgear is comprised of free standing, vertical, barriered and compartmentalized sections. Pioneer CEP switchgear utilizes GE, Siemens or Eaton draw out power circuit breakers and components, cross bus, instrument transformers and auxiliary compartments available with barriers. Our OEM structure is bolted construction and fabricated with 12GA., A60 galvaneal steel, with corrosion resistant properties and painted ANSI 61 Gray finish. Custom coating is available. • Pioneer CEP offers NEMA 1 indoor and NEMA 3R outdoor (Non Walk in or Walk In Aisle) enclosure. • System Voltage available from 120V through 600V. • Current rating ranges from 800A to 6000A. • CU Bus Bracing is rated up to 100 KAIC. • Available with UL 891 and UL 1558 Listing. • Optional 304 or 316 Stainless Steel Enclosure.

Dead Front Switchboards

• Low Voltage switchboards are comprised of free standing, vertical, dead front steel structures. Pioneer CEP switchboards utilize GE or Siemens circuit breaker components and power circuit breakers, molded case circuit breakers, fusible switches, a main bus system, instrument transformers and auxiliary compartments as needed. Our OEM structure is bolted construction and fabricated with 12GA., A60 galvaneal steel, with corrosion resistant properties and painted ANSI 61 Gray finish. Custom coating is available. • Pioneer CEP offers NEMA 1 indoor and NEMA 3R outdoor (Non Walk in or Walk In Aisle) enclosure. • System Voltage available from 120V through 600V. • Current rating ranges from 400A to 6000A. • Bus Bracing is rated up to 200 kAIC. • Available with UL  891 Listing.   

Panelboard and Split Bus Panelboard 

• Panelboards are UL 67 Listed. • Cabinet, boxes, and trims are UL 50 Listed. • California’s Title 24 Split Bus Panelboard. • Pioneer CEP Panelboards are designed for sequence phase connection of branch circuit devices. • Main lugs are mechanical solderless type. • Enclosures are painted in ANSI-61 light gray finish. • Standard panelboard cabinets are available with NEMA 1 indoor and NEMA 3R Outdoor rating. • System Voltage available from 120V through 480V. • Current rating ranges from 100A to 1200A. • Bus Bracing is rated up to 100 kAIC. • Custom NEMA 4X enclosures are available.

Paralleling Switchgear
